Shen got a doctorate from the University of Basel, Switzerland and is now a tutor and associate chief physician. She is currently a youth editorial board member of the Chinese edition of the Human Reproduction Update (HRU).

Medical diagnosis and treatment field and expertise: Shen specializes in diagnosis and treatment of infertility and female reproductive endocrine diseases and is skilled at ovulation induction therapy, artificial insemination and analysis and treatment of repeated implantation failure of test-tube babies.

Published works and other projects: She has presided over one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in several municipal-level projects, and published four papers collected by the Science Citation Index (SCI).
