As a deputy chief physician of TCM, Fang was a student of Zhao Jinghua, a well-known doctor in western Hubei province. He was also a student of Professor Chen Rong of Chongqing Medical University, Xia Min, a famous TCM doctor in Chongqing, and Duan Yating, a national-level master of TCM. Fang once served as director of the gynecology department of Dianjiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is currently a member of the Gynecology Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, a member of the TCM and Health Specialty Committee of the China Association of Promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine, deputy chairman of the TCM Gynecology Professional Committee of the Chongqing Maternal and Child Hygiene Association, a member of the Gynecology Professional Committee of the Chongqing Association of Chinese Medicine, a member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Professional Committee of the Chongqing Integrative Medicine Association, a member of the 6th Committee of the Rheumatology Society Branch of the Chongqing Medical Association, and an executive director of the Chongqing TCM Gynecology Alliance.

Medical diagnosis and treatment field and expertise: Fang is adept at integrating TCM and Western medicine to diagnose and treat gynecological diseases. He is especially proficient at adopting TCM to treat irregular menstruation, infertility, recurrent abortion, preliminary test tube conditioning, premature ovarian failure, peri-menopause period syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperandrogenitic acne, and other difficult gynecological diseases.

Published works and other projects: Fang has presided over two municipal-level projects, and mainly participated in one national-level and two municipal-level projects. He co-edited one book, and has published 22 papers, among which five were collected by the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), one was collected by the Chinese core database, one by the Chinese science and technology core journal, and 15 by national journals. His master's graduation thesis was honored as an "Outstanding Master Thesis of Chongqing Medical University".
