As a deputy chief nurse, Wei is the head nurse of the Delivery Center. She is currently a member of the Midwifery Science Research Group of the Midwifery Branch of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Group of the Perinatal Medicine Branch of the Chongqing Medical Association, and a deputy director of the Midwifery Committee of the Chongqing Nursing Association.

Medical diagnosis and treatment field and expertise: Wei is good at delivery room quality management, perinatal and high-risk pregnancy and childbirth, normal and dystocia midwifery, various obstetric emergencies and critically ill cases rescue, treatment and resuscitation of ultra-premature infants, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, among others.

Published works and other projects: She has presided over one general project of the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, two general projects of the science and technology bureau of Yuzhong district in Chongqing, and researched three general projects of the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, the Chongqing Health Commission, and the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. She also obtained one invention patent and edited and co-edited five monographs. She published one paper collected by the Science Citation Index (SCI), two by the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), and eight by core journals.
