The maternal and child health hospital of Qianfeng district in Guang'an city, Southwest China's Sichuan province, was unveiled on May 21 as a member unit of the Chongqing Maternal and Child Health Specialty Alliance.
The alliance was launched by the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in 2017.
The move was to boost the development of integrated health care in the Sichuan-Chongqing area, and further promote the sharing of high-quality medical resources with primary medical institutions.
Six representatives from the CQHCWC attended the unveiling ceremony in Sichuan, including Qi Hongbo and Li Fang, president and vice-president of the center, respectively.
Zhang Wei, Party secretary of the Qianfeng district committee, Yan Jidong, deputy head of Qianfeng district, Li Hongjun, deputy director of the Guang'an Health Commission, and other officials also attended the meeting with the CQHCWC representatives.
During the meeting, Zhou Fengxiang, director of the Qianfeng district maternal and child health hospital, gave a general introduction to the hospital. Other Qianfeng officials expressed their hope of deepening cooperation with the CQHCWC, and promised to fully support the comprehensive and systematic cooperation between the two hospitals.
Li Fang said that as the leading unit of the alliance, the CQHCWC is responsible for providing the most assistance to member units.
Representatives from both sides held in-depth exchanges and discussions on the cooperation model, development direction, and ways of further promoting their collaboration.
Qi concluded that this cooperation is an important practice for the CQHCWC to implement the integrated development of health care in the Sichuan-Chongqing area.
He said he expects the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges, expand cooperation areas, innovate cooperation mechanisms, work tirelessly to take the needs of local people into account, and optimize the allocation of medical resources, so as to establish a demonstration model of Sichuan-Chongqing maternal and child health cooperation.
