Lyu is the deputy director technician of the Newborn Disease Screening Center and has been engaged in the early screening and testing of genetic and metabolic diseases in children for more than 20 years. She has extensive clinical experience in screening, diagnosis, follow-up medical treatment, and other aspects of congenital hypothyroidism (CH), phenylketonuria (PKU), and other diseases.

She has published four papers related to neonatal screening.
