The 2022 Chongqing standardized training session for resident physician cultivation in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and medical genetics was held from March 27 to April 2 at the Ranjiaba branch of the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing.

The session was sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and the Chongqing Management Office of Standardized Training Affairs for Resident Doctors and Nurses, and was organized by the CQHCWC.

Twenty-five well-known experts from Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Henan, Sichuan and Chongqing were invited to give lessons during this session, attracting more than 100 participants from 31 medical institutions in the city.

When addressing attendees at the opening ceremony, Wang Jian, secretary of the Party committee of the CQHCWC, said that the center feels honored to hold the training and will continue to provide platforms for medical workers to make exchanges and improve their capabilities.

Wei Jingjing, representative of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, affirmed the achievements made by the CQHCWC in training and medical education. Wei hopes that all attendees will attach importance to such training, so as to constantly improve the quality of resident doctors and nurses in the obstetrics and gynecology, and medical genetics departments.

This training has a complete curriculum system, which covers ideological and political education, policy interpretation, teacher evaluation and motivation, medical simulation training, teaching activity demonstration, base construction experience, and so on, which were highly regarded by attendees.

This is the first time that the CQHCWC has undertaken such training. Moving forward, the center will continue to increase its investment in teaching, and improve the construction of its teaching system and the teaching ability of clinical teachers, so as to promote the high-quality development of the city's medical education.
