The summing-up meeting of the Chinese Red Cross Foundation charity hospital project was held on March 28 at the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing.

Zhou Wei, vice-president of the CQHCWC, and Zhu Hui, a representative from Health and Happiness (H&H) Group (China), attended the meeting along with other representatives from the center.

The Chinese Red Cross Foundation charity hospital project was launched according to the requirements of the National Center for Women and Children's Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is also supported by Biostime, a brand under the umbrella of H&H Group, which focuses on the nutrition and health needs of women and children. The project was officially launched at CQHCWC in 2015.

Zhu introduced the charity hospital and said that the project has always been committed to offering medical assistance to families of severely-ill patients. The hospital also provides other kinds of assistance, such as medical aid and the promotion of maternal and child safety knowledge.

Zhu expects that the meeting would help strengthen the smooth advancement of the project, so as to offer better services to critically ill mothers and children.

Zhou pointed out that as the first charity hospital in Chongqing, the CQHCWC has provided waivers and subsidies for medical expenses to mothers, infants and children in severe cases over the years. The charity hospital project will simplify this process and improve treatment efficiency.

Zhou also stressed that the center would continue to deepen its management model and broaden publicity, so as to allow the charity hospital to help more people in need.
