The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, and the Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) School of Nursing held a symposium on March 14 to deepen teaching exchange and cooperation.

The symposium was presided over by Zhou Hengyu, deputy dean of the CQMU School of Nursing.

During the event, Li Fang, vice-president of the CQHCWC, gave a report on the center's development history, operation model, teaching conditions, development of the teaching staff, teaching management, student training, skill center construction, and teaching base construction, among other things.

Li expressed a desire to integrate development between the school and the center, and promote the transformation of hospital teaching, expecting that the school will provide support in the construction of clinical teaching practice bases, teacher training, and nursing micro-specialty declarations.

Yang Yanbin, vice president of CQMU, pointed out the challenges faced by the hospital's teaching development, and said that the center should increase teaching investment, improve its strengths and enhance the ability of teachers.

She emphasized that the university and the center should attach importance to complementary advantages, resource sharing, and positive actions, adding that the university would offer support in base construction, teacher training, curriculum construction, nursing training recommendation, and scientific research.

Yang also put forward four requirements for promoting the high-quality development of nursing teaching at the school and the center, namely fully supporting the construction of a nursing discipline, attaching importance to and supporting the training of nursing professionals, building a teaching and scientific research platform, and deepening cooperation between the two sides.

The symposium was intended to strengthen exchanges between the CQHCWC and the university, and also played a positive role in promoting the development of nursing teaching at the center.

Moving forward, the CQHCWC will make full use of the university resources to effectively improve nursing education.
