The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing, held an online training session on the management of high-risk children on Sept 8.
More than 1,300 people participated in the event, including children's health care workers from maternal and child health care institutions and primary medical and health institutions in various districts and counties of the city. Six districts and counties, including Qianjiang district, also set up branch venues to organize centralized training.
Eight experts were invited to give lectures, including Hu Yan and Dai Ying, chief physicians from the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and Zhang Yuping, director of the Pediatrics Department of Xinqiao Hospital of Army Medical University.
They interpreted policy requirements related to technical specifications for the management of high-risk children and children's autism screening service specifications and shared clinical experience in physical monitoring, language, psychological behavior, motor development evaluation and intervention, and predictive guidance for high-risk children.
With the continuous development of medical technology, the neonatal mortality rate has dropped significantly, and surviving high-risk children have become a group that requires special attention.
As a national demonstration base for early childhood development and a quality control center for maternal and child health care in Chongqing, the CQHCWC has always adhered to improving the health of women and children and will strive to offer better services for women and children in the city.
