Two CQHCWC projects get national approval
The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing, has been approved for two youth science fund projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), according to an announcement on Sept 8.
The two projects are led by Luo Yunyao of the Reproductive Medicine Center and Su Yan of the Laboratory Department.
Since 2017, the CQHCWC has been approved for six projects by the NSFC, including two general projects and four youth science fund projects.
In recent years, the center has attached great importance to scientific and technological innovation, building scientific research platforms, improving incentive measures, and strengthening talent introduction and cultivation. The number of high-quality scientific research projects and papers has gradually increased.
Moving forward, the center will accelerate the coordinated development of medicine, teaching and research to pursue transformation and develop into a top-notch women and children's hospital.

About the two people in charge
Luo Yunyao
Reproductive Medicine Center, post-doctoral researcher
Luo is an attending physician with a doctoral degree. Luo graduated from the West China School of Medicine of Sichuan University (master's and doctoral program), receiving master's and doctoral national scholarships while in school. Mainly engaged in basic and clinical research on egg aging, she has presided over or participated in seven scientific research projects, such as NSFC projects and municipal key projects. Luo has published six academic papers in core medical journals at home and abroad as the first author. She has been to Vancouver, Canada and Florence, Italy for academic exchanges, participated in the compilation of one book, and obtained one invention patent and two utility model patents.
Su Yan
Laboratory Department, post-doctoral researcher
Su is a chief technician with a doctoral degree. Su graduated from Chongqing Medical University, majoring in clinical laboratory diagnostics. Mainly engaged in clinical and basic research in the field of reproduction, she has presided over a number of scientific research projects such as the joint project of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and the Chongqing Municipal Science Bureau, the Chongqing natural science foundation post-doctoral project, and the city's graduate innovation project. She has published several Science Citation Index (SCI) papers in the Journal of Molecular Medicine and the Journal of Endocrinology.
