The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing, held an event on Aug 18 to celebrate the fifth Chinese Doctors' Day, which falls on Aug 19 every year.

More than 200 officials and medical workers from the center attended the event.

Qi Hongbo, president of the CQHCWC, extended holiday greetings to medical workers. He said that in the face of the rebound of COVID-19 and high temperatures, doctors are still working hard on the frontlines.

Qi pointed out that in 2022, the hospital is promoting comprehensive high-quality development, hoping that physicians at the center will work to improve their theoretical and professional abilities, be innovative in medical research, and enhance medical services.

He also emphasized that relevant functional departments should continue to provide service guarantees for medical staff members, offering them better conditions in terms of working environment, remuneration, professional development, and humanistic care.

A variety of honors were awarded during the celebration, including excellent medical record writing, outstanding physicians/technicians, and physicians who have worked in the medical field for more than three decades. Twenty newly-recruited physicians then led all attendees in a review of the physician's oath.
