The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing, held a children's health care service training session on Aug 2.
It also served as a pre-competition training session for the upcoming children's health care knowledge and skill competition in Chongqing, aiming to further improve the service quality of children's health care staff members at the city's medical and health care institutions.
Held online, the training was participated in by more than 240 people, including selected contestants from preliminaries in the city's districts and counties, and children's health care-related staff members from various medical and health care institutions.
Renowned experts were invited to offer classes, including Wang Huishan, former director of the Children's Health Care Department of the National Center for Women and Children's Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Wang Danhua, chief physician of the Pediatrics Department of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and Zhang Jing, professor from the School of Public Health of the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science & Technology.
They offered detailed training and explanations and answered questions related to neonatal resuscitation, Denver Developmental Screening Tests (DDST), and child feeding and nutritional guidance.
The training was believed to have enriched the professional knowledge of staff members, improved their children's health care service capabilities, and helped promote the high-quality development of children's health care in the city.
