A group of experts from the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (Women and Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing, visited the maternal and child health hospital in the city's Tongnan district, on June 10-11.
Qi Hongbo, president of the CQHCWC, and Zhou Wei, vice-president of the center, were in the group. They had a meeting with CQHCWC doctors who have been working in the Tongnan hospital for half a year. The doctors reported on their medical support work and shared their ideas about further work.
The CQHCWC leaders spoke highly of the new technologies and new projects carried out by the supporting team, expecting the members to give full play to their personal advantages and technical expertise to train medical professionals for the Tongnan hospital.
The visiting group also attended a forum themed around the efficient collaboration of obstetrics and pediatrics and the improvement of obstetrician and pediatrician capabilities.

Held both offline and online, the forum offered theoretical explanations, case sharing, and topic discussions, attracting many obstetric and pediatric medical workers to participate in person and more than 3,000 to participate online.
During the forum, Qi Hongbo, Zhou Wei, and the other three experts, namely Wang Lan, Chen Jun, and Lei Ling, gave lectures on topics such as the prevention of post-cesarean section complications, nutrition during pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, and placenta previa.
Qi emphasized that the health of women and children is the premise and foundation of sustainable human development, and with the implementation of the third-child policy, the public is seeking higher-quality maternal and child health services.
He promised that the CQHCWC will continue to help improve maternal and child medical service capabilities in the city, ensure the safety of mothers and children, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the city's maternal and child health cause.
