CQHCWC provides free clinical services on Women's Day

To mark the 112th International Women's Day, the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children, or CQHCWC, in Southwest China's Chongqing offered free clinical services at its Ranjiaba branch on March 8.

Held simultaneously was the launch ceremony of the latest round of the city's maternal and child health promotion activities.

Attendees at the ceremony included Li Pan, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission; Tang Xuyan, director of the Maternal and Child Health Division at the commission; Wang Jian, secretary of the Party committee of the CQHCWC, and its president Qi Hongbo.

Addressing the ceremony, Li said that this round aimed to cultivate a professional maternal and child health promotion team and accelerate the promotion of maternal and child health culture and knowledge.

Li also highlighted that all departments, communities, and organizations should work together to provide fair, accessible, systematic and consistent health services for the public.

Wang pointed out that the CQHCWC would continue to focus on the high-quality development of health care, the construction of a beautiful hospital, and breakthroughs in cutting-edge medical technologies. She added that it would send expert teams to primary medical institutions during the round to offer professional services to women and children in the city.

Qi said that the center would continue to play a leading role in maternal and child health care, promote the integrated development of health care and clinical practice, and continuously improve the comprehensive strength of maternal and child health care institutions in the city so as to improve maternal and child health services.

Following the ceremony, Shi Yingwu, member of the Party committee of the CQHCWC, received donations from the Biostime China Foundation for Mother & Child on behalf of the center. Shi said that the center would continue to carry out public welfare activities to help more poor and critically ill female and child patients.
