The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC), located in Southwest China's Chongqing, has achieved high scores in the city's health system supervision and evaluation, according to an announcement made by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission on Feb 15.

It is the second year in a row that the CQHCWC has won first place in the evaluation among medical institutions under the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission.

Over the past year, the center has been honored as an advanced primary Party organization in Chongqing. Its reproductive medicine ranked seventh in the reproductive medicine specialty ranking of Chinese hospitals made by Fudan University for the past four years.

In addition, its maternal management has continued to improve. A new national neonatal health care specialty has been introduced, the comprehensive quality of critical neonatal treatment ranks among the best in the country, and intrauterine surgery procedures and success rates both are among the highest in the world.

Focusing on high-quality development, the CQHCWC will participate in the development of a national medical center, a national regional medical center, and the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to offer better services to women and children.
