The Cervical Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC), which is located at the center's Ranjiaba Branch in Southwest China's Chongqing, will offer colposcopy services every Saturday starting on Feb 12.
The service will be available from 8 am to noon every Saturday.
With the popularization of cervical screening, the need for colposcopy evaluations has gradually increased. Colposcopies, both convenient and noninvasive, are an important part of cervical disease assessment, through which tiny lesions that are invisible to the naked eye can be seen. Following biopsies of suspicious parts, the diagnosis rate can be improved.
The Cervical Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the CQHCWC is among the first municipal-level medical specialty departments in Chongqing and serves as a national-level teaching base.
It has eight professional clinical physicians, including five with senior titles. The team has abundant clinical experience and strong technical force, taking on a leading role in colposcopy technology and cervical surgery in the country.
It boasts advanced technology such as HPV-DNA detection equipment, HPV E6/E7mRNA detection equipment, cytological examination equipment, 4K high-definition photoelectric integrated colposcopy equipment, LEEP knives, and ATP non-invasive treatment instruments.
The center has presided over 18 scientific research projects at the national, provincial and municipal-levels, and has won a municipal sci-tech progress award and medical achievement award more than once.
