In response to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Southwest China's Chongqing, the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) organized urgent nucleic acid tests on Nov 5 for all staff members, inpatients and their companions at the center whose former test results were invalid.

According to the center, medical workers performed nucleic acid testing on 2,000 people within four hours, and issued all test results within six hours.

To guarantee people's health and safety, the CQHCWC has attached heavy importance to pandemic prevention and control, formulating more than 10 prevention and control measures, establishing a multi-department joint linkage mechanism, and implementing homogeneous management of the two branches in Ranjiaba and Qixinggang.

It also checked health codes and travel codes of all staff members every day, postponed all offline meetings, and organized training sessions for nucleic acid sampling, how to wear protective equipment, and pandemic prevention and control emergency plans.
