Infant care guidance center unveiled at the CQHCWC

The Chongqing Infant Nursing and Care Guidance Center was unveiled at the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) in Southwest China's Chongqing on Oct 29.

More than 70 people attended the unveiling ceremony, including Jiang Zhiqiang, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, Fu Qianqian, director of the social department of the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Wang Jian, secretary of the Party committee of the CQHCWC, and other officials and staff members.

Addressing the ceremony, Wang said that as a national-level early childhood development demonstration base, the CQHCWC has long been carrying out business management and technical guidance for health care work at the city's kindergartens and nurseries.

She added that in the future, the center will give full play to the role of the newly-established guidance center, promote the development of the city's infant care services, and help advance the formation of a diversified infant care service system in the city.

Fu said during the event that the current process of population aging in Chongqing is accelerating, and the development of a childcare service system is an important way to optimize the birth policy and promote the long-term balanced development of the population.

She said that the new center will promote the high-quality development of the city's childcare service system, and the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission will offer strong support for infrastructure construction, facilities and equipment.

Jiang praised the discipline, talent and management advantages of the CQHCWC in the field of maternal and child health, expressing hope that the CQHCWC will implement the new guidance center's responsibilities and give full play to its leading role.

Following the ceremony, attendees visited the outpatient clinic of the Children's Health Care Department of the CQHCWC.

Moving forward, the CQHCWC will increase the business guidance and quality control of health care and nursery institutions and teach better parenting skills for families with infants and young children under 3 years old so as to help advance the high-quality development of infant care services in the city.
