Chongqing tightens COVID-19 prevention and control
Due to recent confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the city of Wuzhong in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region and Xindu district in the city of Xingtai in North China's Hebei province, the Chongqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention has tightened the city's pandemic prevention and control measures.
According to the center, people coming to or returning to Chongqing who have travelled to or lived in the aforementioned two areas since Oct 18 must report to their community, village, or company, and must cooperate with prevention and control measures such as nucleic acid testing and health monitoring.
Those coming or returning from the two areas must follow the requirements below:
Those coming or returning from high and medium-risk areas must receive centralized quarantine, and each person must undergo nucleic acid testing on the first, fourth, seventh, and 14th days.
Those coming or returning from other low-risk areas of a high or medium-risk county, city, or district are required to receive home quarantine for seven days, carry out health monitoring for 14 days, and receive a nucleic acid test on the first, seventh, and 14th days.
People from other counties and districts of the city where the high-and medium-risk areas are located, and those from cities with local cases but haven't rated risk level, should carry out health monitoring for seven days and undergo at least one round of nucleic acid testing.
People traveling from other places must undergo one round of nucleic acid testing.
Tips:
1. Do not visit high or medium-risk areas and do as the center requires.
2. Wear masks correctly, and if symptoms such as fever (≥37.3 C), dry cough, fatigue, or diarrhea occur, you should visit a fever clinic at the nearest hospital immediately and disclose your travel and contact history. Try not to take public transportation to the hospital.
3. Raise prevention and control awareness and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
