The ISUOG, or International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a charitable organization and the leading international society of experts in ultrasound for obstetrics and gynecology.
The event was held both online and offline to promote the latest research progress and clinical hotspot exchanges in maternal-fetal medicine at home and abroad and the standardized application of prenatal ultrasound diagnostic technology.
Nearly 100 medical staff members from the main urban area of Chongqing participated in the forum offline, while more than 500 medical workers nationwide participated online.
Wang Jian, secretary of the Party committee of the CQHCWC, and Ran Haitao, director of the Chongqing Medical Imaging Quality Control Center, both spoke at the opening ceremony and expressed hope that participants would study hard to contribute to reducing birth defects and improving the quality of the birth population, and boost the sustainable development of maternal-fetal medicine.
Following the ceremony, more than 10 well-known experts in fields such as ultrasound, obstetrics, and pediatrics held discussions on topics ranging from the standardization of prenatal ultrasound screening to the latest advances in intrauterine therapy and complex congenital heart disease treatment.
The forum is believed to have played a positive role in promoting the development of ultrasound medicine in obstetrics and gynecology, preventing and reducing the occurrence of birth defects, and improving population quality.
As a municipal-level women and children health care institution and prenatal ultrasound screening training base, the CQHCWC will continue to provide scientific, efficient, and high-quality diagnosis and treatment services to the public and ensure the health of women and children in the city.
