The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) in Southwest China's Chongqing held an activity on Aug 23-29 to mark the "Beautiful Hospital" publicity week and promote energy conservation and carbon reduction.

Held both online and offline, the event was participated in by around 1,200 people, including staff members and management personnel.

The center distributed energy conservation and emission reduction proposals to all staff members, and promoted energy conservation, environmental protection, food conservation, and garbage sorting knowledge through LED screens, electronic screens, marquees, and posters in the hospital.

This has promoted the importance of the "Beautiful Hospital" program and advocated for energy conservation.

An online knowledge competition was held for all staff members at the CQHCWC, and 98.19 percent of them passed the test.

In addition, on National Low Carbon Day, which fell on Aug 25 this year, elevators in the administration building were shut down for an hour to save on energy.

In addition, a total of 224 garbage cans in the hospital were updated to help patients correctly classify garbage.

The event has increased staff members' and patients' awareness of energy conservation and low-carbon development.

Moving forward, the CQHCWC will continue to advance the "Beautiful Hospital" program and strive to provide a better environment and services for patients.
