The National Center for Women and Children's Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held an online meeting on Aug 12 on pilot research projects related to "Standards for High-risk Children Health Care Management (Trial)" and "Service Guidelines (Trial)".

Chongqing's work team for high-risk children's health care – representing one of 12 pilot provinces across the country – shared their experience at the meeting.

Wang Nianrong, director of the Children's Health Care Division of the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) and a member of the work team, spoke at the meeting.

She said that with support from management organizations at all levels, the pilot units have focused on the promotion of appropriate technologies in children's health care and scientific research projects, strengthened talent cultivation and details management, and promoted health education to the public in an effort to advance the health management of high-risk children in the city.

Moving forward, CQHCWC will explore innovative management models and play a leading role in the maternal and child health care field to improve service capabilities in high-risk children's health care so as to ensure the health of children in Chongqing.
