To welcome the annual World Breastfeeding Week from Aug 1 to 7, the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) held an event to spread knowledge on Aug 3 at the Obstetric Department's inpatient wards.
The activity was meant to help new mothers learn more about cooperating with midwives during labor, the importance of breastfeeding, and how to shower newborns, so that new mothers can feel more comfortable during spontaneous labor and breastfeeding.
Mothers who choose to breastfeed need more help and attention than the newborns. CQHCWC has called for the public to provide support to women and infants. It will also continue helping the mothers with its professional skills and services.
