Jointly hosted by Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) and the China Healthy Birth Science Association, the ninth gynecological endocrinology workshop and West China practical gynecological endocrinology seminar were held on May 22-23.

Also held simultaneously was the national academic conference on standardized diagnosis and treatment of reproductive endocrine diseases and infertility.

More than 10,000 people participated in the event both online and offline, including experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology from various medical institutions across the country.

During the two-day event, 11 experts gave lectures on the basics of gynecological endocrinology, menopausal management and prevention, and treatment of various gynecological endocrine diseases. These experts included Professor Tian Qinjie from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Professor Li Xin from the Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University and Professor Yuan Rui from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.

Lecture topics ranged from differential diagnosis of sexual developmental disorders and the rapid identification, efficient diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding due to ovulatory dysfunction (AUB-O), to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) diagnosis and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Providing a great communication platform for medical workers in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, the conference laid the foundation for further improving the standardization of gynecological endocrinology diagnosis and treatment in Southwest China, as well as for promoting the high-quality development of the maternal and child health care sector.
