CQHCWC holds cancer prevention publicity campaign

Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children, or CQHCWC – based in Southwest China's Chongqing – hosted a series of health education lectures and activities themed on cancer prevention on April 15-21, to mark the 27th National Anti-Cancer Week.
The activities were jointly hosted by CQHCWC's Health Education Department, Gynecological Pelvic Floor and Oncology Department and Breast and Thyroid Surgery Department – aiming to raise public awareness about cancer prevention.
On April 16, experts from CQHCWC's Gynecological Pelvic Floor and Oncology Department gave a lecture on the prevention and treatment of gynecological tumors at the Chongqing Construction Technology Development Center. It gave out information on preventing cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer and other diseases.
More than 30 female staff members participated in the on-site lecture, while more than 200 people from Qishanlu community participated in the event online.
On April 20, experts from CQHCWC's Thyroid Surgery Department conducted an online lecture on the prevention of breast cancer, giving lessons and answering questions about health and breast-related diseases. More than 300 people participated in the event.
The series of activities were aimed squarely at raising the awareness among women of cancer prevention, as well as informing people about how to recognize, prevent and treat tumors.
Moving forwards, CQHCWC plans to continue spreading the word on maternal and children's health knowledge to more people.
