Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was listed among the top 10 maternity and child hospitals in the country in terms of the satisfaction of both patients and medical workers in 2020, according to an announcement made on March 20 in Wuhan, the capital of Central China's Hubei province.

The announcement was made at the national medical service evaluation conference and experience exchange meeting on improving medical services, which received guidance from the medical administration bureau of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (formerly the National Health and Family Planning Commission) and the Health Commission of Hubei Province.

It was jointly held by health.people.cn, the health management policy department of Peking Union Medical College, and Tongji Hospital of the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The former National Health and Family Planning Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly formulated and launched a medical service improvement plan in January 2015.

The expert team from Peking Union Medical College carried out third-party evaluations on the plan's implementation five times from February 2016 to March 2021, covering hospitals in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Combining the fourth and fifth evaluations, four lists in terms of patient and medical worker satisfaction were announced, namely for general hospitals, traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, maternity and child hospitals, and specialty hospitals.
