CQHCWC holds expert seminar on compiling childcare manual

Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) held an online expert seminar on the compiling of the "Instruction Manual for the Care of Infants and Young Children under 3 Years Old" (hereinafter referred to as the "Manual") on March 4.

A host of experts participated in the video conference, including Fan Yanjun, a researcher from the National Center for Women and Children's Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Wang Xiaoli, a professor from the women and children's department of Peking University Health Science Center, Yang Yufeng, a psychology professor from Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Zhang Hua, president of CQHCWC.

Attendees also included experts from Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, the CDC, Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital, and Sichuan University.

Wang Nianrong, director of CQHCWC's Children's Health Care Department, presided over the meeting.

Wang introduced the background and compiling process of the Manual and gave a detailed report on its current progress.

The participating experts recognized the strong social significance of compiling the Manual. Combining the international-domestic development status, they exchanged views on specific content, the overall framework, targeting readers, publication matters, and other aspects of the Manual.

The seminar provided a practical and effective theoretical basis for the Manual's compiling. The writing group will make further revisions based on the experts' advice and speed up the working process while ensuring quality.
