Gynecological Endocrinology Department

The Gynecological Endocrinology Department of Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was established in 1989 and is a gynecological endocrinology training base for the China Maternal and Child Health Association. It is also a national specialty department of menopause health care and a key specialty department of menopause health care in Chongqing.

The department currently has more than 60 medical staff members, including one with a doctorate and 15 with master's degrees. It has 21 physicians, including eight chief and deputy chief physicians, and 36 nurses, including seven senior ones. Medical staff members at the department have visited Germany, Singapore, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, the Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University and more places to receive specialized training.

The specialist outpatient clinic is located in area A on the third floor and the No 4 expert clinic in area C on the fourth floor of the outpatient department. The specialist ward is located on the 12th floor of the inpatient department and has 86 beds.

Scope of diagnosis and treatment

Outpatient diagnosis and treatment services include: infertility caused by various factors such as ovulation disorders, fallopian tube obstruction or hydrops, pelvic adhesion, endometriosis and uterine fibroids; repeated miscarriages; polycystic ovary syndrome; abnormal uterine bleeding; menstrual disorders; menopausal care such as health screening and sex hormone therapy; hyperprolactinemia; abnormal sexual development, etc.

Primary ward services include: hysteroscopic surgeries for infertility, separation of intrauterine adhesion, and more; laparoscopic surgeries for fallopian tube plastic, uterine fibroids stripping, and more; etc.
