The Psychology Department of Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was established in 2017. Its outpatient clinic is located in area C on the outpatient department's first floor at CQHCWC's Ranjiaba branch.

In October 2018, the psychology ward was officially set up on the 13th floor of the Ranjiaba branch. CQHCWC is one of the first hospitals in Chongqing to set up a specialty department for sleep psychology.

At present, the department is staffed with professionals with senior and medium-grade titles in fields of clinical psychology, sleep medicine, neurology and psychiatry. It has multipleadvanced sleep-related diagnosis and treatment equipment and an exclusively introduced training system for physical and mental balance.

The department regularly provides mental health services to pregnant women with perinatal emotional disorders, sleep disorders, physical symptoms and other disorders.

The department's primary diagnosis scope is: psychological support for pregnant women and puerperae; sleep disorders; emotional disorders; somatic symptom disorders; adolescent learning and growth problems; and children's hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, etc.

In addition to pharmacotherapy, the department often helps patients using a combination of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), physical therapy, music therapy, hypnotherapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy, physical and mental balance training and sandplay therapy.
