Mini-program developed by CQHCWC wins national recognition
A WeChat mini program for the comprehensive management of child healthcare services that was developed by Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was selected as a national model case for its application of information technology to ensure maternal and infant safety and promote women and children's health in China, according to an announcement published by the National Health Commission on Dec 2.
CQHCWC is one of the 34 model women and children's hospitals in China in the field of online services recognized by the national commission.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, CQHCWC has accelerated the construction of an internet plus smart hospital.
Based on the development of online services and optimized visiting processes, the hospital has developed a cloud service model for women and children's health management and a WeChat mini program to comprehensively manage children's health.
The mobile platform can automatically remind parents of their children's health examination appointments, obtain information from children's physical examination reports and push health education information.
It can also guide parents to record their child's daily behaviors and achieve high-risk infant project management. Since the mini program was launched, it has served 27,000 children and managed 4,467 high-risk infants.
In the future, CQHCWC will continue to deepen the utilization of information technology and promote the construction of "internet plus maternal and child health," in a bid to enhance its overall management capacity for maternal and child health. The project can also promote the development of information technology at grassroots medical institutions to provide convenient, high-quality and efficient health services for women and children in Chongqing.
