Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) held a conference on the application to the 2021 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) at its Ranjiaba branch on Dec 3. About 150 people, including President Zhang Hua, department heads and key scientific research personnel of the hospital, attended the meeting.

With aims of mobilizing CQHCWC's staff members and providing training on the application process for the NSFC, Director Xu Shangcheng of the experimental medicine center from the Sixth People's Hospital of Chongqing was invited to share national fund application experience and provide advice for CQHCWC's program funding plan.

At the conference, Zhang Hua summarized and analyzed CQHCWC's scientific research status and explained the hospital's plan for fund application.

Zhang said that the national fund's application is one of the hospital's critical tasks and that the hospital will provide as much guidance and support as needed. He added that each department needs to provide strong support.

In the following training session, Xu explained how to write an application that demonstrates a project's innovativeness and scientific level, as well as the feasibility of the research scheme. He also shared the main points of each part of the program proposal.

The application result of the NSFC is an important indicator to measure the scientific research level of a hospital. The conference marks the beginning of CQHCWC's project funding application efforts in 2021.
