Key points on effective treatments for vaginal relaxation
Since the 2016 adoption of the universal second-child policy in China, more and more women have suffered from the condition known as vaginal relaxation.
Pregnancy and childbirth can aggravate deformation of the normal vaginal structure, especially in the process of delivery. The fetus may cause damage to the surrounding vaginal muscles, with reduced muscle tone and supporting capacity. In turn, the internal and external diameter of the vagina can be significantly stretched and become larger, often leading to vaginal relaxation.
At present, the common methods of clinical treatment for vaginal relaxation include surgical treatment, CO2 laser treatment and electromagnetic pelvic floor stimulation treatment.
Surgical treatment and laser treatment are invasive and of high risk. Surgery can only change vaginal tightness and appearance and lasers can only work at a superficial level.
Experts say electromagnetic pelvic floor stimulation mainly aims at the rehabilitation of muscles and nerves and tends to be time-consuming, while having no obvious effect on severe vaginal relaxation.
In recent years, with the increasing maturity of artificial intelligence (AI) temperature-controlled radio frequency in the treatment of the pelvic floor, the treatment effect for vaginal relaxation is particularly obvious -- and it can also improve mild to moderate prolapse and urinary incontinence.
The principle behind it is that it mainly acts on the human body by radio frequency to activate fibroblasts to secrete collagen, improve elasticity and strength of the ligaments and fascia. It promotes the neogenesis of small nerves and blood vessels in the treatment area, improves cell and tissue metabolic functions and increases the folds of the vaginal wall mucosa, thereby improving the vaginal environment to achieve the purpose of the treatment.
AI temperature-controlled radio frequency therapy can monitor the treatment temperature in real time, with comfortable temperatures throughout the course, which are non-invasive and abstinence-free.
The therapeutic mode includes three major modules and different modules are selected according to different age groups and symptoms. Each treatment lasts only one to two hours, once every 10 to 14 days, five times during a course of treatment.
The pelvic floor recovery room on the 11th floor of the building for Inpatient Department in the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children offers consultation service for vaginal relaxation syndrome (Monday to Saturday, 8:00-12:00, 14:00-17:30; Tel: 023-60354631).
