The Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) ranked 10th in a list of the country's most competitive maternity hospitals, published at a conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on Aug 28-29.

Guangzhou Asclepius Health Care Accreditation Research Center, also the organizer of the conference, published the Annual Report on China's Hospital Competitiveness (2019-2020) and the Evaluation Report of Chinese Hospitals (2020).

According to medical technology, resource allocation, hospital operations and service quality, CQHCWC was ranked No 10 in China and No 2 in western China on the list of Top 50 Maternity Hospitals, which was included in the annual report for the first time.

This achievement marked a great leap in CQHCWC's comprehensive competitiveness during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20).

During the conference, CQHCWC president Zhang Hua presided over a face-to-face session of experts, discussing how to play a leading role in women's and children's medical treatment, as well as smart hospital construction.

Zhang also participated in a media briefing as a representative of children's and maternity hospitals and delivered a speech to introduce the advanced experience.
