The finals of the first English-speaking contest at the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was successfully held at the hospital in Southwest China's Chongqing on July 29.

The contest was held to increase the enthusiasm of its staff members to learn English and enhance the hospital's capabilities in terms of foreign exchanges.

At the final contest, 10 contestants gave speeches on the theme of "health related, life entrusted" and after fierce competition, there was one first-prize winner, three second-prize winners and six third-prize winners.

The 10 finalists in the contest were selected from 42 contestants, after two rounds of preliminary video evaluations conducted by experts outside the hospital and after online WeChat voting.

In recent years, the hospital has vigorously promoted its international cooperation and exchanges, broadened the international communications channels -- putting itself on the international stage and expanding CQHCWC's international influence.
