Municipal officials visit CQHCWC to send festival greetings

In the run-up to International Children's Day, a delegation from the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission went to visit the kids at the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) on May 29, according to officials at the CQHCWC, located in Southwest China's Chongqing.

Led by Huang Minghui, director of the commission, the delegation visited several departments of the CQHCWC.

Huang affirmed the achievements made by the hospital in fulfilling its public health service functions and protecting the health of women and children. He expressed his hope that the hospital makes full use of its technical resources to improve the levels of screening and treatment of congenital and hereditary diseases, to further reduce birth defects.

At the same time, Huang was also informed about the resumption of the CQHCWC's early education center.

He brought International Children's Day gifts to children in class and his support and thanks to hard-working medical staff members and early education teachers.

After listening to the hospital's work report, Huang pointed out that maternal and child health is an important cornerstone of national health and an important foundation of social harmony.

He said it was important that the hospital seizes opportunities and works hard and effectively improves the fairness and accessibility of maternity and child health services.
