To further prevent and control the novel coronavirus, the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children announced it is adjusting its services from Feb 10, according to hospital officials.

The hospital will now mainly receive patients in critical or emergency situation. Patients in need of treatment in a limited period can make appointments online only, to reduce the risk of cross infection.

Patients with a fever should go to fever clinics as announced by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission. Both patients and accompanying people should wear masks and accept body temperature checks when coming to the hospital.

Please note that the CQHCWC’s fever clinic was relocated to the first floor of outpatient department’s A zone from Feb 8.

Pre-check triages for body temperature measurements and epidemiological history surveys have been set up at the entrance of the garage, the south entrance of the outpatient department on the first floor and on the north entrance of the inpatient department on the first floor.

The obstetrics and gynecology department will suspend all on-site classes and offer online courses for pregnant women. Health care during pregnancies and prenatal diagnosis will be arranged by appointment with doctors.

Surgeries at the family planning department will offer online reservations, while group education and promotions will be suspended. The department of health care for women will stop its physical examination service.

The colposcopy test service at the Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cervical Diseases will open every workday morning at the Ranjiaba hospital area, while the Qixinggang hospital area will cease its test service.

Neonatal screening will still be arranged according to schedule, with parents advised to take their infants to  hospital between three days to 20 days after birth.

The early childhood development training center of children’s health department will suspend all group activities and vaccination inoculations. The children’s health department, otolaryngology department, stomatology department and psychology department will stop receiving patients.

The neonatal department will stop video visitations, breast milk receiving, on-site consultations and follow-up services.

Officials said that in the near future, the CQHCWC will only receive emergencies or confine operation patients.
