The 2020 Chongqing Digital Health Conference and the 3rd Health Academic Annual Meeting were hosted by Chongqing Daily Group on Jan 7.

Various senior officials attended the event, including Jin Xiaotao, chairman of China Medical Information and Big Data Association, a member of the Party committee and deputy director of the former National Health and Family Planning Commission; Wu Lianghe, deputy director of Chongqing Medical Insurance Bureau; and Zhang Hongmei, deputy editor in chief of Chongqing Daily.

The results of a number of awards were announced, such as the "Top 70 Brands for People's Livelihood Contributions".

Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) was honored as a Medical High-quality Development Contribution Unit. Shi Feng, a member of the Party committee of CQHCWC, attended the event and received the award on behalf of the center.

In recent years, the health center has focused on the welfare of local women and children, and has greatly improved the quality of medical care, making positive contributions to the development of maternal and child health in Chongqing.

The center has given full play to its medical characteristics and advantages, and built a comprehensive maternal and child health service system, winning honors such as being one of the "100 Excellent Baby-Friendly Hospitals" and a "National Specialty in Maternal Health Care".

It has also intensified efforts to optimize its infrastructure and surrounding environment. Measures such as regulating medical waste disposal, implementing waste classification, and building convenient facilities such as car charging piles have significantly upgraded the hospital to a new level.

In 2019, it was selected by the Chongqing Health Commission in the first batch of "beautiful hospitals" in a demonstration project initiated in the city.

The center also initiated the Chongqing Maternal and Child Health Medical Consortium, also known as the Maternal and Child Health Specialty Alliance, which has established cooperation with several local hospitals to receive critical pregnant women and critical newborns in various districts and counties in the city.
