More than 70 breast cancer patients gathered at the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children on Dec 18, according to CQHCWC officials. 

Dignitaries taking part in the event included Wang Jian, secretary of the Party committee and vice director of the CQHCWC; Sun Hailan, deputy director of the Nutrition Department and Gao Han, deputy director of the Breast Department. 

Wang extended her greetings to the patients and encouraged them to actively receive rehabilitation treatment in order to gain a healthier life. 

In a lecture given by Sun Hailan, the nutrition management of breast cancer patients in terms of diet, weight and exercise was introduced to the patients. 

Physician Li Daxue also examined the development of breast disease and bone health management for breast cancer patients. 

The hospital’s breast care team staged a comedy sketch called "How much do you know rehabilitation", which humorously interpreted the main processes of breast cancer rehabilitation after surgery. 

Some patients also took the initiative to show off their talent at this year's event. 

The medical staff played games with the patients, which helped to further break the ice and deepen communications between doctors and patients. 

Gao Han awarded a certificate of merit to an 83-year-old patient for her bravery and determination. The patient shared her experience of fighting cancer. 

Her impassioned speech gave encouragement and confidence to the participants.
