CQHCWC hosts major children's asthma forum

A precision medicine for children's asthma and pulmonary function examination and respiratory forum was successfully hosted in Chongqing on Nov 29, the organizers said. 

It was co-organized by the China Maternal and Child Health Association and Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children -- or the CQHCWC --, attracting more than 200 experts from various healthcare institutions across the country. 

The conference gathered high-level pediatricians to communicate with each other, aiming to effectively deepen their understanding of child asthma in China, promote the standard diagnosis and treatments of asthma, and improve the prognosis situation of patients. 

Zhang Wenkang, honorary president of the China Maternal and Child Health Association and Huang Min, member of the precision medicine committee of the China Maternal and Child Health Association, addressed the opening ceremony. 

They summed up the progress made in the field of pediatric treatment in China and expressed their high hopes and ardent expectations for the future development of the field. 

Various distinguished guests were also invited to the conference. These included Fu Zhou, secretary of the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University; Huang Yongjian, academician from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Li Xuemei, a physician from CQHCWC. 

A series of topics were discussed at the event, such as the precision diagnosis and treatment of asthma, the relationship between micro-ecology and asthma and pulmonary function testing, and allergen detection.
