A review of maternal deaths and critical maternal cases was held recently. The meeting - the second such review of 2019 - was hosted by Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and organized by Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC).

The relevant persons in charge and staff from different departments of the CQHCWC, as well as experts from the obstetrics, psychiatry, rheumatology and immunology departments, and staff from the ICU, also attended the meeting.

In total more than 200 doctors and researchers from each district and county in Chongqing were in attendance.

Four cases of maternal death and five critical maternal cases were comprehensively reviewed during the meeting.
