In recent years, the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children has prioritized global academic exchanges and set about establishing a global cooperation platform. One positive result is that Prof. Gerhard Jorch from the University of Magdeburg and Prof. Shi-Wen (Albert) Jiang from the Mercer University School of Medicine have now joined its staff under a flexible employment program.
Over the last two years the hospital has hosted the 21st Chongqing ART Conference and the 2nd Yangtze-Rhine Neonatal-Perinatal Forum. In addition, with an ongoing interest in national and municipal international cooperation programs, it has been recognized for one management talent program by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and for two by the Municipal Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
Through these efforts, the hospital has significantly developed its disciplines, enhanced its influence, and improved its core competencies.
