The department of women's health care of the Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC) is responsible for the management of public health programs and technical guidance concerning females' healthcare. 

The CQHCWC has been involved in assessing implementation of a medical screening program against cervical cancer and breast cancer for rural and urban females from impoverished families in 40 prefectural regions for four straight years.

It has held annual training sessions on pre-marital health in a move to increase the percentage of pre-marital check-ups and realize the targets set out in the National Program of Action for Child Development in China.

The CQHCWC has worked hard to offer health service for local youths, sponsored summer camps themed on children's healthcare, and encouraged local medical institutes for maternal and children's health to develop into demonstration bases for the care of minors.
